Pilot El Primero Collection
Zenith
The Zenith Pilot collection is the company's longest-running line and is about to take off again with a new version of the El Primero Collection. Zenith presents two stunning models in a case size of 42.5 millimetres with two variations of the new Pilot Big Date Flyback. One model is made entirely of black ceramic and has an industrial look, thanks to the contrast between the opaline black corrugated dial and the luminescent white markers and hands. Meanwhile, the second stainless steel version is inspired by the legendary 1997 El Primero Rainbow, with easily readable contrasting colours and orange colouration of the central chronograph second and minute hands.
J12 INTERSTELLAR
Chanel
The House of Chanel is entering the worlds of science fiction, space, and time travel. One of the new creations from the special Chanel watch creation studio of La Chaux de Fonds is the J12 Interstellar watch. It features a glittering dial, like a starry night, embellished with six diamonds and traversed by a comet moving through the sky. The unique design is created by spraying glitter onto the dial, making each piece slightly different from the next. The blue luminescence creates a more vivid starry sky scene, immersing you in Chanel's interstellar world.
Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante
Parmigiani Fleurier
One of last year's Watches & Wonders highlights was the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante, a watch with a unique hidden second hour hand that can be adjusted to a different time zone by activating the pusher. Parmigiani Fleurier revisits this concept in 2023 with the Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante. Instead of a second hour hand, the new Tonda PF has a second, independently adjustable minute hand that displays the minutes in five and one-minute increments, depending on which pusher is activated. This function allows for on-demand fine calibration of the minutes over a specific time period for any occasion or event that requires a minute count.
Portugieser Automatic 40
IWC Schaffhausen
IWC Schaffhausen announced the latest addition to its Portugieser collection, the Portugieser Automatic 40 in a salmon-coloured dial. This new timepiece boasts a modern and classic design, combining a puristic design from the late 1930s with a more compact and lighter case than previous models. The railroad outer minutes track and railroad small seconds track add to the vintage sensibilities of the watch, while the finish is sunburst rather than matte, providing a modern touch.
Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days
Bulgari
Bulgari presented a new watch to its Octo Finissimo collection, the Skeleton 8 Days. With its sleek design and impressive power reserve, this timepiece is an eye-catcher for every watch enthusiast. The hand-wound movement is only 2.5mm in height, yet it manages to store close to 200 hours of power reserve. The watch is made entirely of sandblasted titanium, with a highly complex design featuring octagonal and round shapes. The dial includes a small second between 7 and 8 o'clock, and a spoked wheel is placed underneath the small second hand to indicate the power reserve. The watch measures less than 6mm in height, and while it may be slightly thicker than other Octo Finissimo watches, it makes up for it with its power. The Skeleton 8 Days is a beautiful addition to this marvellous collection, with its monochromatic grey colour scheme and integrated titanium bracelet.
