Truly
Inspired
Due to the positive reception of the previous Symphony Balls, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and the House of Gübelin decided to continue the successful charity event. This year's ball took place in the KKL Luzern and was all about the rainbow. The House of Gübelin has long been inspired by precious stones in the most beautiful colours. The rainbow also symbolises the diversity that characterises the Swiss family business, whose combined expert knowledge of jewellery, gemstones and watches is unique.
In the best
company
More than 320 guests from the worlds of culture, business and politics attended the Lucerne Symphony Ball, which was completely sold out several weeks before the event. Journalist and presenter Tamara Sedmak guided the guests through the evening with great wit and charm. The musical delights were complemented by culinary creations from Michèle Meier. The menu of the Chef of the Year, who has been awarded 16 GaultMillau points, was highly praised by the guests.
Valuable
prizes
The proceeds from the raffle and the auction will be used to further expand the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra under the direction of its new principal conductor Michael Sanderling. The main prize was a jewellery ensemble of the "Sparks of Fire" Line by Gübelin Jewellery. The jewels, consisting of earrings, ring and bracelet, are set with multi-coloured gemstones and have a combined value of over CHF 15,000.
