Gübelin Jewellerys
Iconic Ruby
The iconic Gübelin ruby in a cabochon cut is prominently set between the spinel from Tanzania and the diamond baguettes. It lends this necklace another captivating shade of red and an intriguing cut. As the signature stone, the ruby marks the necklace as a Gübelin creation.
The
Inspiration
The inner world of a gemstone is as unique as a fingerprint. Under the microscope, the designers immersed themselves into this red spinel from Tanzania (22.08 ct). They discovered spectacular structures reminiscent of a dragonfly spreading its wings and taking flight at sunrise.
The
Design
The designers translated their inspiration into a hand-drawn gouache. It serves as the model for the jewellery atelier. Starting from the central stone, gem-encrusted wings spread out in the most beautiful colours of the sunrise.
The
Details
The necklace is also set with marquise-shaped rose spinels, pink sapphires and rubies totalling over 50 carats. Masterfully arranged, these hand-picked gems are carefully combined to create an captivating colour gradient evoking the hues of a sunrise.
